David joined Wragge & Co in 1978 from a major City of London firm, and established what since became a significant insurance practice. Since 1987 David has spent increasing time on the development of the firm's international practice, now a full-time responsibility. He is a member of the North America and India Desks, and client partner for many US and Canadian clients (public and private corporations). David was awarded the OBE (Diplomatic and Overseas List) in the 2004 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to UK/North American relations.

(New York and London); Chairman (2005 -) and immediate past President (2003-2005) British-American Business Council (New York); Honorary President (2006 -) (and former Chairman, 1998-2000 and 2003-2006), British American Business Council in the Midlands; Director, British American Business Council Chicago; Honorary Consul for Canada (1995 -); (former) President, Canada-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce (1993-4); member of Council and honorary representative for the Midlands (1989 -); Chairman, Canada Memorial Foundation.
